# Picking

> How market orders become final.

Market orders are picked in the XFaster store app: the picker marks each line found, missing or replaced, and the customer can approve substitutes.

* Orders carry `picking`: `null` (not picked), `picking` or `done`.
* When picking changes the order (a missing product removed, a substitute added), you get `order.updated`. Fetch the order: **its lines are final once `picking` is `done`**.
* If a paid order ends up cheaper, the difference goes back to the customer's XFaster wallet. Record the final total.
* Each line carries `barcode`, `unit` and `by_weight`.
